YT TUBE opens YouTube directly with Shorts shelves, the Shorts bottom tab, and feed distractions stripped out, so you watch the long-form video you came for and skip the infinite algorithmic rabbit hole.
Why it exists
Shorts are engineered for compulsive, friction-free swiping. Each swipe delivers a dopamine burst, turning a quick search into an hour of lost focus. YT TUBE takes the swipe loop away and leaves clean search results, your subscriptions, and full-length tutorials.
What it does
Hides Shorts Shelves
Removes the Shorts carousels and shelves from Home, Subscriptions, Search and recommended video feeds.
Removes the Shorts Tab
The bottom navigation bar Shorts button is permanently hidden, eliminating the muscle-memory reflex to swipe.
Redirects Shorts Links
Any shared /shorts/ URL opens in the regular long-video player instead of entering full-screen swipe mode.
Zero Telemetry, Zero Ads
The app contains no ads, no trackers, and no middleman servers. It operates purely as a client-side filter.
Hardware Accelerated
Built with Android WebView hardware acceleration, landscape fullscreen locking, and responsive touch controls.

How it works
YT TUBE is an Android native container running a sandboxed Chromium WebView. On page render, it injects a fast MutationObserver filter that strips out Shorts components and rewires URL events. If a /shorts/ address is encountered, it seamlessly transfers playback into standard video mode.
Install on your phone
- Tap Download APK to download
YTTUBE.apkdirectly onto your device. - Open the downloaded APK from your Notifications or Files app. If Android asks, enable Install unknown apps for your browser.
- Tap Install and launch YT TUBE from your app drawer.
